Totally Over The Spectrum develops online training that provides practical, autism-affirming knowledge for professionals and organizations.

Our training is designed to help learners develop a better understanding of autism and apply that knowledge in sector-specific, real-world situations. Courses draw on evidence-informed information, professional expertise, and lived experience, with a focus on communication, understanding behaviour, and practical support.

Understanding Autism: For Police Services

Our first online course was developed specifically for police services. It provides officers with practical, autism-affirming knowledge to support more informed and effective interactions with autistic people.

The course uses realistic scenarios to explore how autism may affect communication, behaviour, and responses in different situations. Learners are given opportunities to apply what they have learned and consider how autism-specific knowledge can inform their approach during police interactions.

TOTS is continuing to develop autism-affirming training for professionals and organizations across different settings, with training for fire services currently in development.
